Interview

I belong to the Planning Department. My main role is to conduct site surveys and verify, from a legal perspective, what scale of building can be constructed on a given plot of land. I am responsible for the planning stage of projects such as multi-family residences and dormitories, tailored to the client’s requirements. After that, I also play a role in handing over the survey results and planning details to the Design Department.

I had always wanted to work in architectural design, so I was looking for a company where I could pursue that. What convinced me to join this company was the fact that it has many young staff members and a modern, comfortable office environment, even with plants around the workspace. It just felt like a great place to work.

Our senior colleagues organize opportunities for communication, such as futsal games and social gatherings, which give us chances to talk with people we don’t usually interact with. We can even chat about hobbies outside of work, and I think having those kinds of moments is what makes working here enjoyable.

I knew that the field of architecture would be challenging, but once I started working, I realized that there are even more difficult tasks than I had imagined. However, after a year with the company, I’ve been able to take on more responsibilities and can truly feel my own growth, which makes me very happy.

I’m not yet at the stage where I can plan or complete a building entirely on my own, but I find it rewarding that the things I couldn’t do or didn’t do well when I first joined, I am now able to carry through to completion independently.
