  • What made you choose this company?
  • When I was looking for a company that wasn’t either a major corporation or a small private firm to pursue residential design, I received an introduction to this company. After hearing their explanation, I chose them because I felt I could learn about buildings from start to finish, and they would see me as an individual rather than just another cog in the machine.

  • What's the company atmosphere like?
How do you feel about your coworkers?
  • We can easily chat and consult about both work-related and personal matters. Also, departments aren’t separated by walls or floors, and there are optional activities like Imperial Palace runs that allow us to interact with people from different departments.

  • Could you tell us about your responsibilities, role,
and what you find fulfilling about your work?
  • In my third winter with the company, I was assigned my first property project. Even for properties I wasn’t directly in charge of, seeing the completed buildings I helped design gave me both a sense of achievement and responsibility.

  • Through your current work,
how do you feel you've changed or grown?
  • While my vocational school education provided a foundation, I’m still learning every day as there’s so much more needed for actual work. By visiting construction sites, I’ve become more aware of how a single line in design can change an entire building.

  • Do you have a message for
    students who are job hunting?
  • I recommend attending information sessions for any company that interests you. It’s also helpful to consult with your seniors or teachers. Even if your career goals are vague, they’ll become clearer as you gather information and discuss with others. Remember that it’s normal for everyone to sometimes think about other career paths even after starting a job, so focus on identifying what you want to do most right now and give it your best shot.
