“MIRARESI” Receives the Minister for National Resilience Award Implemented at LEBEN Hikarigaoka GLOW GARDEN

The disaster-resilient condominium system “MIRARESI,” implemented at LEBEN Hikarigaoka GLOW GARDEN—a residential development by Takara Leben and designed by Gendai Sougou Sekkei—has received the Minister for National Resilience Award at the 12th Japan Resilience Award.

The Japan Resilience Award recognizes outstanding initiatives that contribute to building a more resilient nation and strengthening local communities against natural disasters and other risks. “MIRARESI” was highly evaluated as a disaster-preparedness condominium system that supports the continuity of essential services such as electricity and water supply during emergencies, enabling residents to remain safely in their homes through in-home evacuation.

At LEBEN Hikarigaoka GLOW GARDEN, solar power generation and battery storage systems are utilized to maintain the operation of water supply pumps and provide electricity to residential units even during power outages, enhancing residents’ ability to continue daily life in the event of a disaster. In addition, comprehensive initiatives—including emergency stockpiles and disaster preparedness programs—support residents’ safety and peace of mind through both physical infrastructure and community-based measures.

Through the design of this project, Gendai Sougou Sekkei sought not only to create a comfortable living environment, but also to incorporate strategies for disaster prevention and mitigation into residential design.

We will continue to contribute to the creation of safe, resilient, and sustainable living environments through architectural design that responds to the evolving needs of society.
