The building is carefully arranged along the natural terrain, allowing it to exist as an integral part of the surrounding landscape.
Soft natural light filters in from above, creating the distinctive interplay of light and concrete that characterizes Tadao Ando’s architecture.
Despite the overcast weather, the interior never feels dark. Instead, gentle natural light fills the space, demonstrating how thoughtful architectural design can embrace even the changing conditions of the sky.
Rather than simply observing light, visitors are immersed within it. The experience blurs the boundaries between color and space, creating a unique and thought-provoking perception.
A similar experience can also be enjoyed at the Chichu Art Museum in Japan.
Beyond the architecture itself, MUSEUM SAN offers a spatial experience where nature, light, and art come together in harmony.
